On Saturday, 29 April, Tenuta Sant’Antonio together with the Amarone Families (Allegrini, Begali, Brigaldara, Guerrieri Rizzardi, Masi, Musella, Speri, Tedeschi, Tommasi, Torre D’Orti, Venturini and Zenato) received the Wine Awards for Friends bestowed by Feinschmecker, the leading authoritative German wine & food magazine, in a ceremony held in the refined setting of the Grandhotel Schloss Bensberg, located in Bergish Gladbach, outside Cologne, Germany.
The award marked the first time that the prestigious monthly magazine has chosen an Italian association. It is an exemplary case that will make history by recognising the merit and dedication shown by a group of 13 historical producers of Amarone whose mission is preserving the value of this wine in the restaurants and wine bars all over the world, but also on the pages of the most prestigious wine magazines and guides. The Amarone Families were chosen by the magazine because they are a strong, cohesive group, recognised by the market and international critics for their valuable dedication to the Valpolicella area.
The Wine Awards for Friends thus breathes new life into the Amarone Families: a further proof of their role as prestigious, acknowledged ambassadors of the wine-making expertise boasted by the Valpolicella area, in Italy and internationally.
