The “Bottega del Vino” in Verona reopens, thanks to the Famiglie dell’Amarone d’Arte and Riseria Fer

10 March was a red letter day for the city of Verona. Thanks to the hard work of a local group comprising the twelve Famiglie dell’Amarone d’Arte (which Tenuta Sant’Antonio is a member of) and Riseria Ferron, the famous Bottega del Vino in the centre of Verona was open again for business.
Alongside its classic risotto with Amarone and its signature dishes (horse meat stew, braised meat in Amarone, “bigoli” pasta with duck sauce and pasta and bean soup), La Bottega will also be serving up new culinary delights, thanks to its kitchen/workshop where the chefs will prepare homemade pasta and cakes.
This cultural and financial venture has important historical implications since the wine bar, which originally opened immediately prior to the Unification of Italy, still has much to say and offer.
